Troop Preview Campout / Webelos Outdoor Experience

Join the intrepid scouts of Troop 631 for a weekend of fun and excitement!  This not only gives Arrow of Light Scouts a chance to complete their troop requirements, but also a chance to preview our troop!  Scouts BSA is the next step.  Our boy troop begins at Arrow of Light Crossover, 11 years old, or 10 years old, in the 5th grade on March 1.  Any eligible scouts are welcome!  Please note that a parent or guardian is required to camp with each youth.

Who? Current Arrow of Light and/or guests eligible to join our boys’ troop (boys ages 10-17)

Registration: 9:30 – 10:00 am Saturday morning. (Be sure to eat breakfast before arriving!)

Program Starts: 10:00 a.m.

Program Finishes: Sunday, around Noon

Cost: $15 per person to cover food and materials

 

Each Arrow of Light Scout/Visitor is to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Family camping is NOT available with the Troop, so no siblings please.

What the Troop will provide:   Saturday Lunch and Dinner to be topped off by warm Dutch oven dessert, and breakfast Sunday.  The adults will eat with the adult leaders and the Arrows of Light/Guests will eat with the Scouts.  There will be a Scout’s Own Service on Sunday.

Packing List:

□ Water Bottle

□ Tent to be shared by the Arrow of Light Scout and his parent

□ Sleeping bag

□ Camp chairs

□ Flashlight or Headlamp

□ At least one change of clothing appropriate for the weather (shirt, shorts, socks, underwear)

□ Rain Gear or Poncho

□ Personal Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste)

□ Mess kit or durable plate/bowl, utensils, and cup

Please note that we discourage our Scouts from using paper plates and plastic utensils to be environmentally friendly, but we will have some available, if needed.
